What if libraries hosted public LLMs?

What about data centers that make the internet work?.. Would you rather not be able to post this?

I was thinking, imagine if we used all the data centers for literally anything other than AI

Isn't that what we have been doing with most data centers for the last few decades?

Great idea 💡

Yes actually. The internet should become more decentralized. Ultimately it would all be run from homes, or distributed over many devices.

This would avoid many of the effects of big tech centralizing so many things like AWS or google services going down. DNS problems, or Cloudflare.

While we’re dreaming I feel like internet infrastructure should be nationalized like other utilities also should be…

Yeah we need to start making the distinction between traditional data centers and these new AI spreading data centers.

What about the bridge on the enterprise?

Fucking amazing. I never made that connection. I love libraries. And sometimes you find them in the oddest places in a city…in parks, at the top of hills, hidden away in the middle of far flung neighborhoods…

Interesting that they always seem to develop around people 🤔

Sick art, damn
