More than any other election, filling out my ballots this time felt like a humiliation ritual. This is my part in the democratic process and there's no good options, just options that will probably harm people the least. It's all career prosecutors and corporate lawyers vs incumbents. Libs I know feeling like they're winning, makes me suspect this will not turn out their way because they're always wrong about how things will go.
But also it's pretty hard to believe there will not be any backlash to the debasement of basically every metric in the last year.
It does look like the libs are winning right now, or moreso Republicans just threw the election harder than they did, at least in my state.
Polling was pretty much tied at like 49 49 pre early voting, but Republican turnout just hasn't been there. Dems are up 6% in the turnout and that's before you consider independents which is like 30% of all the vote count. And I just don't see a world where independents pick up the difference for Republicans this cycle.
Early voting this cycle is around 75% of the total turnout for the last midterm ( in my state), so I don't know if people are just voting early this season or the overall turnout is going to be high.

I try to at least be aware of whatās going on in MA and NH but the moment you give it more than a secondās attention, you just realize itās pure bs. Senate in NH is between a corrupt Democrat who seems to be representing Amazon and such, and a small business owner coded Large Son republican who wants to cut social security etc.
MA governor is between neoliberal husk whose campaign points are just whatever hits the focus group, and let me get this straight. Navy seal, job creator, and hyper tense individual Mike Minogue. He obviously represents the Massachusetts petty bourgeoise and elderly who can afford to live in that hell state. MA senate is between 80s Soviet premier aged Markey who had a freak out on a debate against some republican candidate with no chances. Thereās also a PSL guy running, but Iām not in Boston nor the hell state so couldnāt tell you how that helped to draw attention.
Overall, itās neoliberal international finance capital ghouls vs small town (suburban) local capitalists trying to run a republican campaign against all odds. Plus actual octogenarian gerontocrats like Markey and the MA Secretary of State clawing on against 40 somethingās who might be thinking about presidency some day. Election night, America in flames.
