Had this happen to me. There was a small stain on the carpet that could have been removed but I ran out of time moving out.
Apartment kept my deposit and told me I owed them $2k to replace the entire carpet. I ignored them because I looked up the carpet, and it was $0.49/yd. All together it would have been less than $500.
Got sent to collections, and I told collections I'd pay if they could provide proof of $2k in damages, which was legally required in my state. Never heard from them again.
Where I live, that would be considered normal wear and tear and absolutely the landlords responsibility.
That being said, replacing carpeting costs much more than the carpet itself.
The materials would have been around $200, including padding and replacing the tack strips.

Shocking what one can get away with if they're able to say and not worry about angering someone. Assholes and bullies figured this out and made it a way of life. I can always spot it in men, not so much women.
Anyway, saying no is a skill more folks need. Harder to learn if you don't start young.

I think it's more of a reaction to the fact that many of her comics are getting repetitive and are about the same topic. Drawing MAGA idiots as gremlins is funny the first ten times, but it gets stale after a while if that is the only content on offer.

It is, and people express OC in different ways without literally Mary Sue'ing themselves into a comic and pitting themselves automatically on the popular side of a hot issue

If she referenced the International Brigades, the works of Atwood, Kress, or Leckie, or even vaguely about women's issues and sexual liberation, I would bow down and worship her.
But she does none of those things. She just spreads more division and hate by propping herself on the right side of an argument that everyone already agrees on, in order for us to pat her on the back
