not even making the list

this, but with Xi and a map of the world.

@grok is this real?

is this some fake internet survey? This is not a poll.

Does anyone have any idea why there's a Zambian sweep for Donald Trump?

Xi Jingping, the friend and emperor of the heap of all penguins?

Oh yeah, China's had the penguin vote locked for a while now. Proof:

India going with Xi is honestly kinda surprising.

Yeah, I would have been certain it would be Netanyahu.

At first I thought blue meant "no data" but then I realised it was Xi. Damn...

is an unironic psy-op

It's a place for the far-right to agitate, in the spirit of 2015 reddit

Hey, at least Xi is cleaning house worldwide

Regardless of your political position, I assume most people would agree that Xi is the most competent or well-rounded statesman among the options.

There isn't really a lib friendly option. Guess they aren't bloodthirsty enough for Yahu

who would they pick? There's no popular left-liberal world leader right now. Steinbaum or Lula I guess would be the closest?

All the European leaders are unelected and/or extremely unpopular.

I sure hope that's true

I do think a lot of Libs are slowly coming around to China....though that might change if the USA and China come into active conflict.

didn't know Namibia was that based tho

I read recently that, back in 2017, SWAPO made a big show of re-adopting a Socialist ideology. They call it "Socialism with Namibian Characteristics", though it's hard to tell how genuine this supposed shift really is.

It coincided with a big trade deal with China, so either a left-faction of SWAPO already was looking to make this pivot, and courted Chinese investment in the process, or an opportunist faction made the rhetorical pivot, thinking it would appeal to China.

I don't know what actual Namibian economic policy and quality of life has looked like over the last decade, as compared to the previous one. But that would be worth looking at, to see if this "Socialism with Namibian Characteristics" actually amounts to anything

Ohh thats super interesting I didnt know that. Thanks for broadening my horizons :3

Why is there a bunch of other colors in Africa? Are there more options that aren't shown? Or is it a mixed color when two options are ranked the same?

That sub should be called BasedMapPolls instead apparently

R/mapbasedpolls is an unironic psyop.

What's goin' on with Georgia here too? Are they another Ukraine we gotta' worry about?

Abkhazia and South Ossetia are the Donbass of Georgia really long grains of separatism, except the Russians didn't wait 8 years and crushed the Georgian army when the war was first winding up, before NATO formed a proper strategy to arm and proxy-fy them.

NATO was arming and proxifying them already, but Georgia is too small and not suicidal enough for a long war.

Nothing about Georgia makes it un-suicidal, and combat in the mountains means you don't need quite as big a heap of men. Georgia simply was not armed & trained in the same way or timetable that they managed in Ukraine. Whether that was CIA arrogance or a lesser political commitment--you can decide. They got it right on the second try though. And Russia learned the exact opposite wrong lesson.

Georgia was also not as marinated in nationalism, so the general population was not willing to fight, so after losing the initial battles the leadership was forced to negotiate, while Ukraine has a strong fascist presence, who are able to lock the country on the full speed course into the iceberg.

They were Ukraine before Ukraine, but switched to a more realpolitik stance since.

Also Eswatini I think.

alliance of sahel states no... sahel what are you doing?

the sample size of this poll is 46k. Even if we generously assume an even distribution, that would mean Niger would have 160 people that voted. In reality, because it's an english speaking western website filled with racists it's going to be far less.

Anybody from Niger who is hanging around on right-wing english speaking websites is going to be biased, and there's probably only like 50 people from Niger who answered the poll. The sample size is too small and biased to be meaningful in any statistical way

my bet is that 4chan users or some racists are intentionally changing their vpn to Niger and voting for trump... because Niger sounds like the hard r

that's true, on 4chan it does show the flag of their country when they post and a lot of them spoof it.
