You can also use a simple needle & thread to invisibly slice the banana inside its skin for added horror. (FWIW, the needle-wiggle method instead bruises the peel, leaving obvious brown dots —ergo, not the best.)

Also, reserve these shenanigans for home-use, not stores, schools, workplaces, and/or anywhere that unwitting strangers might experience the intended effect too long after your prep, and thus risk infection. 😅☝🏼

Although, if you're looking for a slow burn, you could always prep & fridge a grip of 'em right before the candy horde descends on your neighborhood. Maybe even mention to the kiddos that they're cursed bananas and better eaten the day after Halloween. 😉🤘🏼🎃

That peel keeps bacteria on the outside of the banana. Essentially identical to slashing the seal on a tub of yogurt and putting it back on the shelf. Don't fuck with food at the store, ever.
