I'm also not surprised at the "increased diversity" of right-wing thought. It's largely based on incoherent personal grievances, vibes, and whatever grifter's pipeline they happened to fall down, whereas left-wing thought is centered around engaging with reality as it actually exists. It's the same reason there's more "diversity of thought" among Rapture believers with their countless micro-factions split along the lines of when Jesus will show up and when the peace treaty between the Antichrist and Israel will be broken while the non-Rapture camp is unified along the line of "nah, all that shit sounds made up."

my thought as well, people on the left coalesce into a relatively coherent set of beliefs because we all start from the same premise which is that people shouldn't be oppressed, and the biggest differentiator is how much we're willing to do about it.
