It’s it’s time for that long goodnight
Poor Jon. I do not envy him. He retired once because it all got to much.
But he is the last voice standing. Kind of like Gandalf standing on the bridge against the Balrog.
I think he’s liking the current setup. He only hosts on Mondays, and the rest of the week is another member of the team, rotating from week to week. It’s pretty great all around, gives us Jon Stewart once a week and lets people like Josh Johnson and Jordan Klepper and Desi Lydic get a chance to shine.
He also does his podcast which is more free form-ish.
More Gandalf telling everyone in Minas Tirith to man your stations and keep fighting.
I hope Colbert comes out from under his desk at some point.
Hopefully it's just to fill time until he announces his 2028 presidential run.
