And now for something completly différent. Protests in France.

This is how you protest!

That's a hell of a door. My home Depot door falls off if you look at it funny.

Balkan style

It seems like the French have got some competition as the finest protesting nation in Europe.

I'm surprised they didn't realize that most walls are less reinforced than a lot of security doors...

In America maybe but European government buildings are usually stone or brick.

Windows are the weak point, presuming they don't have iron gates across them like in rough cities in the US like detroit where all doors and windows have wrought iron grates over them.

Cool to see them trading off and cycling out

Using something thats only heavy in the front as a ram seems really hard, the person in the front has to support all of the weight and try to keep it level

So you're saying it probably would have been beneficial to add mass to the back of the sign?

That makes sense to me and I could see that helping, especially since it was long enough for me people to grab. In this specific case, I wonder what the best way to attach more mass to the back end would have been.

Its interesting reading the reporting on this.

BBC really buried the lede on why the protests are happening (I actually missed it on my first read) focusing on the facts of what's happened with the protests and enumerating people calling for them to stop/tone down.

Fox News (not linking for hopefully obvious reasons) started off by labeling the current Albanian government as Socialist, then went into the educational reforms that students are calling for before admitting that the protests started due to allegations of corruption associated with the Jared Kushner projects/deals.

AP seems to have the best bead, which mentions the student protests, but focuses on the "Flamingo Protests".

I am eagerly watching to see what comes of this.

Not an accident but a editorial choice that keeps being made at every major paper.

By editorial here I'm not referring to an editor actually looking at articles (doesnt happen anymore) I mean that whoever puts the final word on these stories always has the same direction: cover the controversy but dont explain it.

Jeez back up and get some momentum, guys

Well they didnt actually open it lol

Where is the call for rule of law and demonizing these insurrectionists like you leftists demonized January 6ers?

BBC is doing not to far from that (they focus on the calls to end the protests in their article).

This is just legitimate political discourse.

This is a Europe community you dolt
