Zelenskyy Says Ukraine Is Done Holding Back on Russian Oil Refineries
(united24media.com)
(united24media.com)
Good. I think Ukraine should hit at least one Russian oil refinery for every Ukrainian school, hospital or apartment building Putin has hit. Assuming Russia even has that many.
Or 2 or 3 and every other type of energy or government facility.
This is lunacy. Russia has a right to [DB connection error].
This new PUBG lobby looks sick.
shouldve hit it from the start, so the propaganda would be less far reaching than it s now.
AND data centers... keep up the good work!
It turns out there are only seventeen actual magats - the rest of the noisy bastards are virtual from Russia. (or putin, as i like to call it)
So am I the only one sitting here wondering if the US is gonna nuke Iran first, or if Russia is gonna nuke Ukraine first? Because I feel like we're just speeding right toward both of those things right now.
I'm trying really hard not to look at the big pattern because it gives me panic attacks whenever I do it. I can say, as someone that's pretty good at this stuff, both Putin and Trump are unpredictable due to their detachment from reality and that they've surrounded themselves with yes men. Like Stalin and Hitler were. Anything could happen.
Nuking Iran will make the oil crisis permanent.
Nuking Ukraine would kill the value of Ukraine.
A tactical nuke on Kiev would not destroy the value of Ukraine
I agree: the Chernobyl disaster was radiologically worse than a modern nuclear weapon.
I'd raise the problem with using a tactical nuke is the consequences of breaking the nuclear taboo is normalizing use of tactical nukes, and outside of a few morons and sociopaths nobody wants to live in that world.
I guess the bright side would be the "not totally insane or stupid" countries teaming up against a common enemy to do anything possible to remove the people responsible from power. You'd find some extremely well trained and equipped "rebels" hunting heads.
I think the nuclear taboo was always a myth. It's always been the case that there were 2 groups of countries (since nukes existed). 1 group had nukes, but could also generally get their way conventionally. Another group either didn't have nukes but couldn't defend themselves conventionally, or had nukes and just hid behind their nuclear shield. Like the DPRK using nukes to keep the US at bay.
So the fact no nukes every got used was mostly due to the fact that the big interventionist military powers didn't NEED their nukes to win. Unless they were facing a country that also has nukes. In which case MAD applies.
But now there's countries that are beating nuclear powers conventionally, while also not having nukes, and not even being backed by a nuclear power (like how the USSR was there to back the Vietnamese).
Then the extra factor is that nukes aren't all that useful in most cases. They're too big. Too destructive. Not precision weapons. But the wars being fought now are less and less about precision. And more about just destroying the enemy entirely.
So the way I look at it isn't as "breaking the nuclear taboo" since I generally don't think world leaders care about stuff like that. I look at it as the conditions that motivate or demotivate a nuclear strike happening are changing.
Yes - shortages and perceived shortages give corporations something to blame high prices on. Bad times are fine as long as they can blame somebody else. They tried to blame the 2009 financial meltdown on "irresponsible borrowers".
Look at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They're perfectly normal cities today.
oh yeah. "Perfectly Normal".
It's unlikely either will, nuclear systems in North countries retaliate on launch to predetermined locations. We're aimed at each other and either doing anything means massive retaliation because you cannot tell destination until terminal phase and depending on what weapons system it is even terminal can be skewed by large amounts.
"on launch" is for specific ICBM systems we know have nuclear warheads in them and monitor by satelite. That is not what would be used here. Automated systems cannot tell the difference between a bomber carrying a nuke and one carrying a conventional warhead. They cannot tell the difference between a normal ballistic missile and one carrying a small nuke. Until it goes off and people notice. There is no automated counter launch for that scenario as we would not even know its a nuke until it goes off. And if it already went off we clearly know where it was going. Iran, Ukraine, Russia, and the US launch missles at eachother constantly. All they need to do is stick a nuke in one of them.
If it already went off regardless of where there's zero reason not to retaliate and the policy is specifically not to wait.
Hell announced nuclear tests have came very very close to starting a nuclear Holocaust.
You seriously believe that the US is going to risk New York and DC over Kiev? If Russia wiped Kiev off the map then NATO would be puffing up its chest and throwing a fit sure, but they're not gonna nuke Russia over it because then they'd get nuked.
I thiink the system is antiquated and the people in charge of it conventional and obstinate. Listen to the behind the bastards on it.
You discount other nuclear nations that would be well within the fallout as well.
The logic is the same for other nuclear nations. What exactly would nuking Russia help if it gets the nuked too? I firmly believe we will enter a period where anyone that doesn't have a nuke is fair game to be nuked, but nuclear powers are untouchable.
The damage is done retaliation isn't about logic it's about hurting everyone else more than you're hurt yourself so if anyone comes out on top it's you.
That's only for ICBMs. Nukes could be delivered by plane or cruise missile that don't have the uncertainty related to destination. They would most likely be indistinguishable from a conventional warhead until they detonate.
The problem is the detonation there are sniffers and imagers all over Europe that look for specific radiation and a double pulse. Some theories include a suspicion that those systems start the retaliation timer if they aren't stopped it goes automatically and can't be stopped once it starts.
This whole ordeal has me wondering if the nukes still even work on all sides. The whole world is just corrupt and stupid now, nobody even believes in capitalism or communism.
the US and russia had mutual checks in place before the war escalated. so it's very likely that at least a decent number are working well enough
Sadly nukes are not exactly all that complicated to build. The hard part is making the uranium and designing it the first time. Once you know how and have the stuff to make it it's pretty easy to just pump them out. That's why we've got so many of the damn things.
Plot twist: The US will nuke Ukraine
If I were in the ucraniana planning, I'd have a deterrent prepared for that. Like tens of thousands of drones with napalm, it doesn't matter if their shot down they'd do a mess anyway.
We got the drone distributor over here.
Do more data centers, too please!
The cover image looks like a character selection screen
There can be only one.
Or a sweet album cover.
Genius 🍿
He really is the best at destruction. The one thing no one can beat him at.
Honestly doubt. He can destroy lot only because have good spot, made by others potuses before. Whole world even. But real art (of evil, of any) is to do lot by starting from nowhere.
He cannot be good even on being bad.
That actually makes my feel better thanks
How long until Trump declares war on Ukraine
This would cause enough civil unrest to justify canceling the midterm election
in the usa? lol… yeah right, maybe twitter unrest, at most
Which we wouldn't see anyway, as it would be censored by free-speech absolutist
We can send some French people over to teach them how to be pissed off
If only
I hope the French have more patience than I for the lame excuses they'll hear
If they try it don't buy it. We had elections during the Civil War. The country was literally broken if half fighting itself.
What do you expect me to do? Try to vote anyway?
I think Yemen is top of his list right now.
You underestimate how short his attention span is. He's fully capable of declaring war on two countries in one week.
the chaos is the point.
who benefits most from chaos? the rich and powerful. you don't sell your daughter into slavery unless things are real, real bad. so things have to get real, real bad.
don't fight the last war
Martin was right about chaos being a ladder
Could agree, if that chaos would be made by anyone smart.
Half smart riches could benefit from chaos, from war, claiming they did invest in war industry already (ok, murica did lot of that).
Unless, real smarts know, they need to feed the cow fair amount to let the cow give more milk. Too poor society won't let riches beat other riches.
Yet another rich will know, they will be real rich on rich streets without poor tents in parks all around - they will be reach in rich society (even if they make that society little rich too).
riches for whom? the powerful feel like they're being unfairly constrained. that we've gotten too big for our britches, too arrogant. what's the point of societal wealth if you can't make someone give you their child to rape?
societal wealth help society mostly and removes authority and power from private wealth. that's the calculus and these people are moloch
Philanthropy something something, much rare recently, but, at least in theory, still possible.
Not everyone (most sure do, but not all) profit from chaos. I call these smarter ones, compared to stupid ones who makes chaos and/or wars for bloody profits.
3- Dum(b) chess.
3Ds chess was what that lady in Total Recall was a master at.
if that fuel wouldn't actually make a dent in retail prices in the u.s (it wouldn't. at all. what the u.s. is 'buying' is less than one day's consumption)...
then not having that fuel should also not have any effect on retail prices.
gas prices are based on feelings, not reality. If the tiny drop of oil doesn't make it, people will have bad feelings and that makes gas prices go up.
Who cares product, if You can sell <super shiny gif of "propaganda" word here, with sparkles and music>.
They were holding back? 😳
According to the Ukrainian President, Kyiv refrained from attacking Russian energy facilities for three days in an effort to comply with Washington’s request.
Russia, however, continued striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure during that period and killed more than 100 civilians over the past week, Zelenskyy said.
Apparently they held back in good faith, which obviously was a mistake.
Zelensky never leaves any room for doubt that Trump and Putin can later twist to their own propaganda. That's why he honored the "ceasefire".
Apparently they held back in good faith, which obviously was a mistake.
Nah, it's good politics. Make it blindingly obvious who the problem is. And drone production continued anyway, which is where the bottleneck is.
It's how you remain in everyone's good graces and keep getting international support
I would love it if Ukraine destroyed the diesel the USA bought. Fuck the fucking fuckers
that was only worth half of a day for the us, not even worth it, its trump way to get political points for the midterm.
Which was imbecilic. Anyone that could have been swayed by that are already voting their way.
Do data centers too please, I like to call them “cloud bursts”
Seeing a few underdog countries call the USA's bluff, put it in a strangle hold and then spank it's ass effortlessly, Venezuela must feel a little silly for being the only one to preemptively surrender without a fight.
Bring em hell! Slava Ukraine
The world is with Ukraine
Oil delenda est.
Oleum delenda est.
(I think; I don't know anything about noun declension in Latin)
Never studied Latin, I'm content with getting the reference over the net. ^^
For the non-Rome-geeks, this is a reference to "Carthago delenda est" (Carthage must be destroyed) which Cato the Elder used to end every speech in the Roman senate with.
He got his way in the end.
Breakin' it down for the plebs. Nice. 🤘🏼
Pleb solidarity!
This is nice. I wish I could hire you to follow me around and explain me to people so I could stay cryptic and unbothered all the time.
Slava povstantsyam!
^(edit:^ ^syntax)^
Sweet. Whilst you are at it then there're some more data centres over there that need a bit of droning...
You all know this will increase fuel prices worldwide (and thus the prices of groceries and everything else) even further, right?
your point is?
Yes, but sometimes it's worth it to pay more dollars to do/support the right thing. Not choosing that is what leads us to a lot of societal problems we have, including, in extremity but not in exaggeration, slavery in both its traditional and modern forms.
You know what actually could help with prices of groceries and everything else? The unimaginably rich people making just a little less profit. A few hundred million is negligible chump change to a hundred billionaire, but pooh on an entire country that's been dragged into an unprovoked war for the years just trying to end it. Those people who've been killed, people displaced, homes and livelihoods lost, don't matter compared to the profits of wealthy.
Bring it on..
Ukraine is a terrorist state, just like the United States.
Go back to your Russian bot farm.
I live in the US.
Then move somewhere else
One more Russian data center to hit.
Terrorist gonna do terrorism, I guess.
