I felt like I was being overly sensitive when everybody at the time praised shit like Borat and Ali G as if it wasn’t obviously racist. Real glad his shitty Zionism dispelled whatever it was that made people like this guy.
I will use this as an opportunity to once again state that Jared Leto’s Joker does not deserve the hate he gets (Jared Leto himself notwithstanding). He’s a gangster with a touch of camp (his purple Lamborghini has custom Gotham plates reading “HAHAHA,” c’mon!) and gives off the sort of vibes that makes you WANT to see Batman punch him. Joker should not be “cool” or “compelling.” He’s a crazy dude in clown make-up. IRL you meet a guy with a Joker poster on the wall, you know that you should probably leave. Same should be the case in Batman’s universe.
