Wait these were high schoolers? I can imagine getting away with this on younger kids but if this happened to me when I was 16 I'd be like "okay something here is not okay I need to go tell the principal about this".
Seems like that did sorta happen. Student told a school resource officer(a literal cop). Eventually after 3 periods (~3hrs) the "teacher" was removed once the principal found out.
So did the cop wait hrs to tell the principal or did a student eventually do it themselves?

depends on the kid. if somebody did that to me i'd have said something about it being too hard to get a gun.
