This article doesn't annoyingly center Gavin Newsom.
Now if I can just get it past our HOA Board.... There's very strict rules in the CC&Rs about what's allowed on the balconies. And I don't think there's anything in the law to address that.
Good luck with that. Boomers think solar panels are ugly.

Hidebound thinking isn't exclusive to Boomers. The fussiest member right now is the youngest man. I'm technically a boomer myself and I have gotten farther Left every year since adulthood, (plus of course the general trend has gone farther and farther to the Wrong.)
I was able to get some ordinary camping-type solar panels approved by the Board several years ago, but only to have in the closet, available if I need to recharge the emergency Jackery batteries I keep plugged into the wall in case of a power outage. And that's only because my spouse has several life-essential medical devices.
(No we never go camping. Life on the edge is a daily thing. And no I don't have time to run for the Board myself)
