Meanwhile in Quebec the language police has decided that "climat" is too close to "climate" and must be banned, and anyone who disagrees gets the death penalty. This caused an outrage in parliament so now the official policy is only every second disagreement gets the death penalty.

French is such a stupid language I cant tell if that is real french or not.
I did 5 years of it and they call it la clim for short (pronounced cleem). Climot sounds very real to me as well, but I don't think it is.
I took a year of French in high school and recognize most of those words, so I can firmly say maybe.
It kinda looks like a French version of Beamtendeutsch (lit. civil servant's German).

But it underestimates people's laziness that leads to shortening words, which happens in all languages.
