What was the point/benefit of doing the leaf puzzle? I got to step 10 (ok so I got to step 9 and tiki helped me with that one), but it was late and I didn't have time to get into the last step.
It ends in a choice like last season, one benefited your house and the other the republic (I think. I should have taken more screencaps).

Aw man. I stayed up until 5am keeping it alive. But fell asleep when others seemed to be waking up.
It’s only 10 now so I need to take a nap. That said, I liked the competing interests, the House leaderboard seems a little useless since people could just change all the time. The animal events feel like they should have had a bit more consequence for failure, the people who are active and attacking should probably get something being there even while the city suffers for failing to meet objectives. I noticed you patched the consul levy at the end since mine was like 2000000000000 influence suddenly. That’s probably a good change.
Hmmm. Trying to think what else. Maybe if the emperor had button protections for overnight I could have seized the throne before I fell asleep just to make sure we made it to people being active. But I’m not sure that would be good gameplay not sure how it would function.
All in all it was a good time and I enjoyed the cooperation. In the end we had plenty of presses just not enough pressors.

Edit: there were some more changes right at the end regarding consequences for the hunts, but sadly it died before they had a chance to play out :(
This was fun! The ability to found a house and defect to other ones was interesting, and I had fun kitting out my gladiator (RIP my first one before I realized they could die 🫡) I hope my brief time as consul is remembered as me technically keeping my promise to @sneezycat@sopuli.xyz 😄
Seeing a lot of us here that rotated through Consul, that was fun. Everyone that did that was easy going and made the game a better place.
It'd be nice to have a recap of the house member number and the games champions. I think I had the highest times as game champion (3) and I was curious if anyone caught up.

I don't know about you, but I didn't spend much time looking at the button this season or caring who held it, and instead was training up my gladiator for the next games. I was disappointed they never arrived.
I wonder if it needs a giant flashing banner in the last minute (no matter what you're looking at) to make sure people remember to go and press it?
I don't know, previous season the button got used pretty hardcore, this season was really calm. Even I got mentioned in the summary as button presser... Even though I was busy with something else this weekend.
And same, I was too busy training my gladiator to finally get some sweet gold! I had just reached the sweetspot where I did not need to convert influence (or whatever that was called) points to gold to continue training...
Last season you could buy button presses for your whole team, so we all ended up with heaps. This time you could buy them for yourself but I had better thinks to spend gold on!
I also wasn't around much this weekend, maybe if I had more time I would have had my gladiator trained earlier and then had more surplus gold.

The consul could buy one button press for each member of their house for 50 influence. That was a big reason why we organised that plan to rotate the seat between houses, so everyone could have enough to keep the button going. Guess it didn't really work out as we hoped 😅
Oh I never got more button presses than the initial 2 I started with. Must have been in the wrong house!
This time folks really dragged it to last minutes quite rarly on, made me way less vigilant.
