Probably to make a little money to start a new life due to persecution and then let people inform themselves about the genocide for free, not a bad plan.

Will probably need to look over their shoulders if they are anywhere where Israel has influence and will probably need to be careful for as long as the current government holds power.

I'd only be mad about the theatrical release if they were like seemingly every other filmmaker and just never publicly release it. Or only on some shit tier streaming service with zero marketing and information saying it's there.
