Reason #547 to not use Meta products

After reaching out to Meta about why the promo campaign had been stomped out, the company replied that “any mention of civil rights, feminism or social reform are usually classified as ‘social topics’ by our automatic system,” and therefore rejected.

I thought this had been going on for a while. I swear Meta updated thier ToS for ads last year to bar this type of content. Either way it's absolutely appalling.

In August, Futurism reported that Meta was refusing to take meaningful action against a far-right influencer campaign to drum up support for a “crusader march on Dearborn” Michigan, organized by self-described “anti-Arab” extremist Jake Lang.

Though Lang’s initial post wasn’t “sponsored,” meaning he didn’t officially pay to promote his call-to-action as the Teatre Raval was trying to do, his post nonetheless garnered thousands of reactions, comments, and shares from his 274,000 followers. It also spawned a deluge of copycat posts extolling racism and Islamophobia, some of which contained explicit calls for violence which Meta refused to take down.

I really don't see how any reasonable, non-bigoted person could justify continuing to use Meta platforms if this is how they are moderating. When does cancerous content start to outweigh the network effect?

meta and x in general all social media in trumps pocket are anti free speech tik tok is bought by oracle remember. reddit is not corporation now corrupted massively even lots of ban waves our free speech is under attack by the epstein class as they censor us more and more using ai and cite its just aggressive ai and if we make alt accounts its ban evasion so it will auto ban u again. no we need to massively cancel all of them.
