There are spiders in Costa Rica that make really thick sections of web to ensure that birds see it and avoid it. Arachnid scientists couldn't figure out why, but eventually birders connected the dots.

Misunderstood this until I read the comments. As a crocheter, I thought this was about fucking up while constructing the web. Spiderbro needs a stitch counter.

Lucky this one got away.
