I kind of wish xAi would come out with CyberGrokgles, just so all the people who would be seen wearing them in public would be seen wearing them in public.
Just get a t shirt that says CHILD PORNOGRAPHER and then has an arrow that points up toward his face.
I see value in these glasses. Makers, machinist, hobby mechanics you can make great POV instructional videos.
But to wonder around in public with them on with no fixed agenda I say naw, buy a go pro so people know your recording.

Yeah, I agree. Back in 2018 I bought a new mac mini with the base 8gb of ram and decided to try upgrading to 32gb myself because it was a hell of a lot cheaper than paying the apple upgrade tax. But I was a complete noob when it came to tinkering with mac hardware. The video tutorial I found on YouTube was literally just some random guy, with a couple hundred views, holding a phone in one hand and describing what he was doing and why. The actual video was kinda bad, he was clearly making do with what he had, but his narration was more than enough to make the whole thing idiot-proof. These kind of "smart glasses" would probably allow someone like that to create better tutorials. The problem is that practical use cases like that aren't driving the marketing. So we're left with pervert glasses lol.
And those use cases have no need for inconspicuousnees.
That was my point, if I got a set of them for the purposes I posted but I would paint them blaze orange. Probably more for me as I lose my glasses all the time, but also makes them obvious.
So is this onion reposted on paywall site or just paywall onion mimic?
Newsthump is basically a British version of The Onion. Sorry about the account log-in wall after viewing a few articles each month, I can't do anything about that. But their headlines usually contain the full joke, so you aren't missing much.
A t-shirt would be cheaper. And, probably last longer. Those glasses are cheaply made.
2nd paragraph:
“I just wanted people to know I’m a pervert, you know? I mean, it’s a massive part of who I am. I did have a t-shirt with ‘I’m a massive pervert’ written on it, but people thought it was a post-ironic statement on modern sexual mores. It wasn’t, I’m just a weird, seedy bloke.”
