I can't survive on just salads. they say to eat rice but have you had plain white rice? it is so bland! you may not have this tradition in your culture (i prefer icelandic food) but I do not like rice just by itself! it should be paired with something which diversifies the texture or adds other flavors.
I tried being beegan, but they kept stinging the inside of my mouth.
Mums be like, "See, no one wants to eat vegetables when I cook" and they serve up cold, unseasoned steamed vegetables alongside some roast they put all their time and effort into
steamed is a stretch. they're usually microwaved or boiled to fuck.
freezer broccoli and crinkle cut carrots, microwaved until mushy and watery, maybe with a sprinkle of salt

Ugh I saw a reddit thread blow up the other day about how South Korea is banning dog meat and it's such incredible news, thousands of people loudly celebrating about how they're saving the heckin puppers while they gladly support the torture and murder of countless individuals essentially indistinguishable from dogs

maybe try taking an unseasoned slab of raw seitan and burying it in a marsh and digging it up next year/decade when it smells like rancid piss

I know this is badposting but I'll straight up fight you. When I'd go to my koren friends house for dinner growing up his mom always said she had to make double rice cause I hoovered that shit up like I was being paid. Good sticky rice is so fucking delicious.

Someone once told me to try tofu. I bought one and it looked, smelled, and tasted like a sponge. None of those juicy meat umamis present.
Now maybe vegans like their diet to resemble that of the spongefly larvae, but I'd rather eat human food tyvm.
Okay but seriously, I didn't get to try Tofu until I was in college. Kind of a dirth in SE OK. I was excited but a little scared based off the bad right wing propaganda. When I had it it was amazing and it was all I could do not to just get a shit ton.
Told my mom about it and I swear she said "oh no" under her breath.
