Why? Maga and Republicans lie and misrepresent all the time. Even if you have to retract later, or you get fact checked, the damage is already done, and the image of a callous leader who doesn't care about the troops is installed in voters' minds.
If fighting dirty is gonna prevent this cackle of demons from having as much power as they hold right now, good. It takes way more work to counter a lie than it does to spew a bunch of bs.
Lying is completely unnecessary to make Trump look like the demon he actually is (in the video he really does say "Not nearly long enough," which is ridiculous) and undermines the credibility of his opposition. This "fighting dirty" thing is like Hegseth saying the US military has only lost because they weren't allowed to do enough war crimes, and if they just stop being woke they'll be invincible. It's just an edgy fantasy and not a serious strategic position.
