I think the joke is that traditionally (or heteronormatively speaking) women get in for free and men have to pay. "Because women attract men. Not so much visa versa." (That's the college fratboy logic, not mine tbc).
Non binaries don't even enter that conversation.

If you watch the whole thing perhaps there is some continuity. It has some very cute moments.
