That's not the impression I get, Europeans in my experience are smug assholes that have a thin veneer of compassionate liberalism that encases their bloodthirsty Nazism.
All this historical revisionism is interesting. It was similar in Croatia. And after 2014 Crimea, Ukrainians really looked up to Croatian operation Oluja which similarly had nazi-collaboristic undertones. But no nazi policies were ever enacted, its just an echo from the past when nazis supported national-emancipists across eastern-central Europe.

I've noticed that when I mention Ukraine's reverence of Nazi collaborators, the pro-Ukrainian types on here never want to talk about it and never reply.
They know they've got 4 options; admit that the Ukrainian government enthusiastically celebrates the UPA and Nazi collaborators, which is a very bad look. Deny it outright (they can't because it's objective fact). Dismiss it as Russian propaganda and/or claim Russia are the real Nazis. Or just straight up ignore it and don't address it.
