Hope everyone is enjoying their further proletarianization! Rents? Up! Transportation costs? Way up! Healthcare? Lucky if you can get it at all. Go to college? Enjoy 20-30 years of debt. Jobs? Down!

Meanwhile, I thought my one time $700 ebike and accessories was a big purchase. I don't even pay for gas.

Why are people buying a new car? Cars easily last 20years with basic maintenance. You can also buy 1-2 year used for 50% off list.

I have 2 20+ yo cars that run but I don’t trust them for long trips so I have a new car as well

You haven't been shopping used cars lately have you? Sure, some luxury cars will see a dramatic drop after a year or 2 of owning, but not most. My 2022 Maverick that I bought new, for 24k, is currently valued for $23,400 at Carvana.

A coworker just bought a 2018 civic with 81000 miles for $15000. The used car market is insanely overpriced.

Every time.

I want everyone to know it was me.

So fucking glad I got rid of my car and I don't have a monthly car payment. But holy fuck, are some people really paying that much for their cars?!

Well new cars start somewhere in the 40k range and I have customers buying 100k suv and trucks these people aren't bright.

They just can’t be seen driving anything less than a brand new Bronco.
