Was thinking about making a series of watchfaces themed after different Lemmy instances:
Nice try NSA agent
While it looks cool I just cant use it for opsec reasons, its cool in concept but practically horrible
Nice. Your Dr. Manhattan face is a good bit too.
This is cool. I see a lot of people coding stuff for Pebble's, though a ton of it is vibecoded with 0 quality control. Just the fact that its open like that is neat though. I was thinking of getting one, but I'm not sure how easy navigation is. That's kind of my primary reason is to not have to pull out my phone on the bus, train, while walking, etc to have a quick peek if I'm still going the right direction. I know they don't have GPS themselves, but it looks like you're able to connect them to some navigation apps on your phone and use the phone GPS.
Fucking incredible
Bit idea, it only will display the current local time in Moscow, regardless of localization settings.
But seriously, cool. I don't have a Pebble but was considering buying one. The problem is that I currently have an old smartwatch that I barely use.
That's... actually cute. My hatred of smartwatches aside.
Pebble is the only good smartwatch
Really? Is it less invasive that other smartwatches?
I mean I know its silly to worry about smartwatches being privacy nightmares when I have a phone with me 24/7. But still I don't like 'em
Fyi smart watches don't have to be invasive, install gadgetbridge and the watch won't ever be able to connect to the internet and gadgetbridge can intercept all data coming from it
Yeah, Pebble is way less focused on all the biometric shit than the big ones, and much more open. The source code is Apache licensed and up on github.
