We live in a police state

I hate to say it but this is my home county's sheriff department. Good ol' Johnson County. Thankfully I no longer live in the state.
Also the same department:

The cop creepers also plotting to track down their exes and women they’re interested in
They have too much power and talking has been ruled out. Kill them, or they will kill you by a thousand vectors. Everything that you continue to let them do is partially your fault for being lazy.
This is Texas’ idea of “freedom” in the United States of America. Cowards with guns
Oh man flashback to Shootemup
Epstein criminals - still out in the open
The children only matter when they're a means to punish women
Not true! They're an excuse for racist violence too!
No, you live in a fascist state.
Theyre the same picture
Looks like this was back in 2024. Which surprises me because flock in my friend group hasn't been discussed much until recently.
Couple things to add...
Flock and the sheriff initially claimed that the case was a welfare check on the woman
Internal court docs show it was a "death investigation" into the fetus
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/05/she-got-abortion-so-texas-cop-used-83000-cameras-track-her-down?hl=en-US
We've reached a point where technology is enabling a totalitarian government that never would have been possible before. Without some serious regulations, which seems unlikely in this environment, this doesn't seem like it will end well.
Despite whatever bible verse they want to quote, a fetus is not a person. The bible belt is a cancer. People are too selfish, scared, and stubborn to get educated.
Numbers 5:11-30 literally gives a ritual to induce an abortion. Bible sanctioned abortion. *If the wife has been unfaithful... So of course, it's about controlling women, not supporting them .. but still, it's a fun verse to spit back at the "Christians" that don't ever read their own book.
But then they claim it makes sense in context, or the old covenant is different from the new covenant, or some other cherry-picking bullshit. It is necessary to cherry-pick the bible because it so frequently contradicts itself.
We really shouldn't tolerate baseless claims at all, people are dying needlessly for it. When people are given permission to falsely represent the reality we share, there is no limit to where their delusions might take them.
Hard agree. Modern policy shouldn't be influenced by cave people from three thousand years ago who had no understanding of medical science. And any ethical or moral arguments should be based in both sound logic and up to date knowledge of the subjects under discussion.
