What consequences are you thinking about? If you're talking legal, I don't expect db0 to press charges, and I don't think he's done anything legally significant to anyone else. Being a dick isn't a crime.
Aside from that, odds are Tesseract is gonna disappear from most instances because mods generally like to have control of their moderation. I don't know what other relevance he might have, but he'll probably just fade from sight.
He'd already taken a hiatus, come back, been unhappy with the state of lemmy, tried to "fix it", got called out. Maybe he'll leave for good this time.
I'm not a lawyer, but producing and distributing malware sounds like it might be illegal. Or should, at least.
