I don't think Donald Trump has ever believed a single word he's said in his entire life. I think if he was ever sincere about anything he would instantly explode.
I don't even think it's distraction from Iran, it's just his default state. Pre-emptively blaming anything bad that happens in the world on other people so that he and his base can shout down anyone who might potentially blame him for something.
Chuds think climate change is a hoax and all wildfires are done by arsonists, so therefore the state is the cause of the fires because of woke.

Ofc in reality the Canadian boreal forest is on fire because of climate change, in particular we are having a supercharged El Nino season. Climate change is driven by CO2 emissions from fossil fuels and the US (along with Europe, Canada, Australia) are the largest historical fossil carbon emitters (counting from industrial revolution onwards) and also per capita largest emitter. Not to mention that the AI drawn air filter wall wouldn't be effective at all (because the polluted air will just go over/around the air filter lmao)
I feel like this might tack onto the "We need to take control of Canada/Parts of it because uhhhhhhhh I need a legacy" stuff, with containing wildfires being part of the excuse. I don't know if anything is gonna happen with that but I can forsee it being an extension of that
