You got the clear case! I wound up getting the corn-flower blue one at a local surf shop (because the clear case one was sold out online)!
I've had like four of five Apple Watches in about ten years. They all just up and die on me and I'm over it. The Casio covers all the stuff I've come to rely on with a smart watch (mostly text and email notifications) without the nonsense. Love it (even if I'm not a huge fan of it requiring me to have location services set to "always on")
I very seriously considered this watch, but the lack of gadgetbridge support was what did it. I ended up witha Garmin that I wear on my ankle.
I get it, gadgetbridge would be really nice, but I can’t use it anyway as I have an iOS device.
Oh gotcha. Part of me still really wants this watch.
I don't need any Bluetooth functions. I've had the same G-Shock for the last 10 years. I never take it off, never replace the battery, works fine.
Which one are you using? Sounds like my GWM-5610.
Most G-shocks are similar. Mine is gst-w300g. It's from the G Steel line, partially metal with hands, solar charging and radio synchronisation.
Everyone has different needs and wants. I like to use the O2 Monitoring especially during the night as I suffer from apnea and use a CPAP machine. Still I love the way it’s less distracting and I deactivated notifications so for all intents and purposes it’s a normal wrist watch that doesn’t grab attention.
I wanted steps and sleep tracking, but its not possible to use with gadgetbridge.
I can recommend a Garmin. The older ones can be had for super cheap, and mostly work with gadgetbridge. Unfortunately the sleep tracking is processed on their servers, so without the official app it's very bad.
And by bad I mean it says I slept for 17 hours last night.
I have a Garmin watch and the sleep tracking has been fairly decent.
I also switched from and Apple Watch to a Casio. Mine is a simpler one that only does the step tracking, but that was all I really wanted. I still have phantom vibrations a year later. Crazy.
Probably a Casio DW-5600-2 model along those lines.
It’s this thing https://support.casio.com/global/en/wat/manual/3586_en/?from=app&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fsupport.casio.jp%2F
Rright on the money there ! Tide Graph showing too.
I've got an dw-h5600-2 on my wrist right now, it is not the same, the legends on the face are orange not blue, also no tide graph.
DW-5600-2
DW-5600-2JR is probably the closest model I can guess at. I still sport my AW-80 although needs a new strap nowdays.
