Buy EuropeanI wanted a durable sustainable large light bottle and found these ones from Spain. Large dog and me consume a lot of water so I opted for a one liter single walled that would still fit in my bum bag bottle holder. Despite not a thermos it keeps refrigerated water cold for at least an hour or more in the current 28°C heat so I'm happy.

Is it really made in Spain ? I'm pretty tired of the 'Designed in Germany...Made in China' / 'Responsibly made in PRC with Swiss technology' macro-bullshit.
From their FAQ:
Most of our products are manufactured in Spain, where product design, quality control, and a significant part of our production take place.
Some of our stainless steel bottles and other products are manufactured in specialised facilities in other countries, all operating under our strict quality and traceability standards. In every case, product development, technical supervision, and quality control are managed directly by LAKEN.
Reading that i assume their product page will show you the trace of their strict quality control.

Nonetheless, is this bottle wrapped or is the metal coloured? Mine is wrapped and when it’s dented the wrap will crack and peel away
I had no idea Laken was from Spain, no wonder it is maybe the only brand I've seen since childhood.
You've never seen a brand since childhood?
What? No.
In other words, me being from Spain, Laken is the brand of canteens and metal bottles I've seen my whole life. They are everywhere in Spain and I don't think I could name any other brand. Maybe Quechua the store brand of Decathlon, but I don't count those.
That color and textured finish looks great!
