Trading favors with friends/family members helps a lot with this.

My ND-ness/distaste for the chaos of the general public means I’ll happily pay for snacks, gas, etc. or bake a treat or do a chore for someone willing to shop for me 😄

I try not to go shopping after 10am so I don't have to deal with crowds.
