I once bought a pack of pre-marinated ribs where one of the cooking steps was to realise you needed the box that you just threw out, and to pull it out of the trash to read the instructions.

Seriously. If I have to do it once, I have to do it multiple times.

If you are reading instructions on a packet you are just reheating food, not cooking.

Lol wut? Why are you gatekeeping cooking. You want to apply that to a microwaved dinner, fair enough, but using a frozen / dry / reheated ingredient as part if your meal still 100% counts as cooking.

I always need to double check how long the particular type of pasta I'm cooking needs to be in boiling water for. I consider this cooking because over 'reheated' pasta as you would say becomes mushy and tasteless.
