I don't mean to be glib, but shouldn't your christian wedding be officiated by a christian? I don't really know a whole lot about the religious tradition of american christians, but they seem to be pretty big on that sort of stuff.
It's not uncommon if you're not a strictly religious couple in the Anglo-christian West. Every wedding I've been to thus far (2) was "non religious" but was more or less a Christian ceremony otherwise. You just strip out the overtly bible stuff and for wank about love and devotion.

That’s a really weird movie because yeah, he’s playing an Israeli agent. But, he’s an Israeli agent who gets disillusioned with Israel and leaves for NYC, so kinda critical of Israel. But, Palestinians are presented as terrorists and their grievances are overly simplified, so chauvinistic. But then the Israelis and Palestinians in NYC team up against their true common foe, landlords and their white supremacist lackeys, so almost an intersectional class-based message. But then we end with an American dream, the conflict would end if all Israelis and Palestinians left the Levantine and become small business owners in America message, so idealistic nonsense. Whole thing is an ideological mess.
The criticism and disillusionment this movie depicts, not that I've seen it, is NO different to WALL-E: abstracted critique alienated from all class analysis, designed purely to meet KPI figures against a "target demographic" just like The Avengers or any other entertainment.

That the Israelis in the film all speak Yiddish, which is common among American Jews, instead of Hebrew which is the predominant language of Israelis, adds weight to your argument.
It’s not Yiddish or even real Yeshivish (Judeo-English)- it’s kind of a linguistic caricature of what spoken Hebrew sounds like to Americans.
