where do you guys live where you see enough swastikas that you need to know how to alter them?

Genuinely and truly, I'm glad you live in a place and move in circles where this doesn't come up. But it's still good to know how to do. Part of how fascist hate groups make their presence known is by stickering or graffiting hate slogans or symbols on walls. It's one of the ways they enforce their ideology.
Anti-fascist graffiti artists in places where a lot of hate groups operate tend to have their work cut out for them. This is essentially just a public service announcement, like how to rescue a thirsty bee.

I would prefer it if people reclaimed them instead of overwriting them. Like turning them into the center of colorful mandalas.
I would be nice if people were reminded more often that it is a wrongfully appropriated symbol, and anyone who willingly gives it away is acting as an accomplice to that, whether they realize it or not.

That was a rather unfortunate consequence of not reading ahead in the material. Not much they could do about it either, since they wouldn't have the budget to film enough of their own scenes in the costumes until much later.
It's a consequence of the director being a publicly verified twat, but otherwise yeah. It certainly wasn't the intent of the original Japanese show runners.
While the color coding could have been unfortunate coincidences, David Yost, the actor for the first blue ranger was bullied off the production for being gay.

Some older gas cylinders (like for welding) have the 4 boxes symbol. I've heard that they originally had a swastika, but after WWII the old mark was obscured for obvious reasons.
Lately I've been working on this theory that the strife in the 20th century was the result of abusive and ridiculous 19th century parenting styles.
There was plenty of strife in the 19th century too but the weapons available were not as destructive.

Nazi re-revisionistically dogwhistling: Nazis can use this to dogwhistles with each other exactly how Norse symbols have been revisioned. Norse culture has nothing to do with Naziprop, but they can reutilize this.
I can def. see this as reclaiming tactics in say anarchist zones. But in neutral zones it could be utilized double-edged.
