as we all know, transfems are all autistic lesbians interested in computer science, which means they are more likely to know how to actually win at rock paper scissors

real. i'm actually fairly good at rock paper scissors, I got like a 78% win rate with real people

A lot of them are just plain old misogyny.

I don't remember the context anymore, but wasn't there also a ban on trans women competing in some beauty contest because of "biological/unfair advantages" or something?

Translation: trans girls are just too fucking cute

confirmed by TERFs, fact checked by patriots

didn't FIDE banned trans women from women's chess because they think men are smarter?

that should have been a bigger scandal

We use the foreskin as an extra cheat sheet.

That's why I, as a Jewish boy, suck at chess :(

🫂

Sexist and transphobic at the same time??

It's more likely than you think

it is funny how the transphobes claim to be protecting women, by being the most misogynistic people around

Wait a second... They did?

I have no words to describe this...

Wow, that's crazy. https://www.chess.com/news/view/fide-publishes-controversial-new-transgender-policy

Didn't a male chessplayer enter a women's tournament covered in Islamic garment to disguise himself, and obliterated everyone? I'm not arguing against you, I just remember seeing something about that.

Article

He beat a woman with a lower rating than him, but lost to a woman with a higher rating before being caught and banned from competing in future tournaments

I see, thanks for the info!

this? https://www.bbc.com/sport/africa/65280560

And?

Men were already bared from women's chess.

no idea what is your point.

Well not really a point, but if it's the case then well trans women genetically have male brains and there for unfairly "better" at chess. Again, I'm not saying that IS the case. Any competition/sport that doesn't need separation because of, for example, unfair physical advantages, shouldn't have it either.

I think the gender separation in Chess isn't there because anatomical difference.

but to encourage women to play more, given some chess clubs were sausage parties. so whatever terfy reason about any 'advantage' doesn't apply.

its not even entirely the sausage party thats the problem, its the historic misogyny of chess players. it really discourages women to start playing chess when everyone playing is a man who thinks theyre too stupid to play and constantly reminds them of it.

Makes sense

Can someone help me with the arguments for trans athletes tho fr? I work with a ton of chuds and they LOVE going on about "men" (trans women they wont recognize) competing unfairly with women. I dont give much of a shit about sports so I just avoid those conversations but if I could be more useful to the cause id like to be.

Only one openly trans person has ever won an Olympic medal. Trans people are 1% of the population, so you're expect us to win 1% of the medals if we're equally good at sports as cis people. But the truth is, trans people suck at sports because most of us are huge nerds. Plus, T blockers give trans women LOWER testosterone than cis women, and the Olympic rules say you have to be on T blockers to compete in the women's league. So we're at a chemical disadvantage compared to all those high-T alpha females at the Olympics.

Statistics. Trans women were allowed (under changing regulations) to compete in women's olympic tournaments from 2004 until 2026. None has won a medal in this time.
In 2023, both World Arhletic and World Aquatic banned athletes who went through male puberty from competing in women's events relevant to global rankings. Before that, there was no domination of trans women in these sports.

Generally, the number of known trans athletes is very low (like, in the 20s or 30s) and their success is limited at best.

Those are compelling points. Thanks!

Its usually just an excuse to validate their transphobia. Most of people opposing trans women in women's sports don't even care about women's sports.

Oh 100% I have zero doubt, I just haven't had the argumentative ammunition on hand

There are not a lot of studies out there, but most studies I remember reading looked at biological differences in school children and or at the highest level of competition. Some examples with shitty formatting below.

Tiller et al. 2021: (Sorry for the springer link but try not to use a scihub workaround for the pay wall.)

Do Sex Differences in Physiology Confer a Female Advantage in Ultra-Endurance Sport?

Senefeld and Hunter 2024: Hormonal Basis of Biological Sex Differences in Human Athletic Performance, endocrinology vol 165

(1) sex and gender are not the same; (2) males and females exhibit profound differences in physical performance with males outperforming females in events and sports involving strength, power, speed, and aerobic endurance; (3) endogenous testosterone underpins sex differences in human physical performance with questions remaining on the roles of minipuberty in the sex differences in performance in prepubescent youth and the presence of the Y chromosome (SRY gene expression) in males, on athletic performance across all ages.

Or

Brown, G. A., Shaw, B. S., & Shaw, I. (2024). Sex‐based differences in track running distances of 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1500m in the 8 and under and 9–10‐year‐old age groups. European Journal of Sport Science, 24(2), 217–225. https://doi.org/10.1002/ejsc.12075

who found marginal differences in kids during the youth Olympic Games in the USA.

None look specifically at trans athletes, but the small differences in the high competition sports are being used to proclaim a male natural ability to outperform females. It is reflected at all levels of PE class and studies have found that the way PE is being approached as a high competition is putting girls often off of sport. The aggression and risk of injury are often as cited as reasons.

See

Ryan, T., & Poirier, Y. (2012). SECONDARY PHYSICAL EDUCATION AVOIDANCE AND GENDER: PROBLEMS AND ANTIDOTES. International Journal of Instruction.

So in a sense there is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Annyyhow, those examples are only to illustrate what the research is up to and might give you some ideas. Overall the notion men are superior is old and needs to go away especially when we are talking about schools PE class.

Thanks!

I am not a health expert, but i remember seeing a study, that tells that personal physiological factors matter in sport more than hormones or sex. Some people just born strong, and some born weak. So its mostly just transphobia that prevents certain people from participating competitively. Unfortunally i always forget to save interesting articles, so i cant give a link, and you are free to not believe me.

Yeah. Basically, if they want to ban trans women from women's sporta for havin an "unfair genetic/biological advantage" over cis women, they'd also have do ban Michael Phelps from any sports because he waa born with measurable advantages like more efficient lungs, some weird shoulder stuff and his muscles tiring more slowly.
