I bought a dishwasher and installed it myself. It's a godsend. I think I also definitely now qualify as a plumber AND and electrician.

The first thing I bought from the first salary I got from my first job was a dishwasher. Best purchase ever.
I also struggle immensely with dishes. To the point I've started paying one of my roommates to do mine every few days 😬
my latest thing that makes it barely tolerable has been putting an anime to play on my phone during. though this limits me to dubs since my Japanese isn't anywhere near good enough to understand without being able to keep my eyes on the subtitles
also I can highly recommend the BBC radio comedy "Cabin Pressure," about a bunch of misfit pilots and airline staff of a charter airplane. Absolutely hysterical and perfect for dishes-type tasks
Does Cabin Pressure have a laugh track? I wanted to watch Black Books, but I couldn't do it with the laugh track.
it does, unfortunately. though at least it's English style which tends to not be as overdone as American style laugh tracks in my opinion. totally get why that's a dealbreaker though
