The amusing part to me is that the aspects of Trump that drive liberals absolutely insane are like the only things that I actually kind of appreciate about the guy (in a limited way, let me explain).
He represents The Burgerland Empire™ absolutely perfectly. The fact that he is such a boorish, craven idiot, openly corrupt, borderline illiterate, short-tempered, self centred, and so on, he finally rips the mask off of imperialism. To much of the rest of the world this is who America has always been. But liberals hate it because they feel a little too exposed without that mask. They can't pretend anymore and can only hope they can go "back to brunch" and put their heads back in the sand when he's gone. Always just one election away from salvation!
Compare him to Anthony Blinkin, who wore an expensive suit and talked in smooth, diplomatic language all while openly supporting a live-streamed fucking genocide. Trump just up and says it. "It's the department of war now." or "We're just gonna steal venezuela's oil". There's no bullshit pretend game in the Trump admin.
And it's not even so much that liberals dislike his foreign policy; in fact I think secretly a lot of them support a lot of what he has done, they just wish he filled out the proper paperwork first and gave it the proper decorum and pretense. The liberals that I talk to who complain about Trump on a daily basis have never once criticised the bombing of Caracas and kidnapping of Maduro, nor the war in Iran. Come to think of it, I can't even remember them complaining about the immigrant concentration camps, or the increased surveillance and repression of activists and Palestine protesters. I think they just kinda wish the Trump admin was more low key about it.
You know what? Keep the UFC ring on the white house lawn. Make it a permanent fixture. I find it extremely fitting for The Burger Reich

He bought like $50k worth shares (that we know about) of the parent company behind UFC in late March before announcing this massive spectacle starring the UFC, which has already increased its stock price ~20%. So this is yet another corrupt grift - that's the real story, not "hEs MaKiNg A mOcKeRy Of OuR sAcReD iNsTiTuTiOnS" or just drawing him as a fat orange baby (which will definitely hurt his feelings). Despite it being relatively minor, before trump 1 this is insider trading and would have been a moderate to large scandal that may have led to impeachment, as it should.

Yeah sorry, that is a bad take. Multiple things can be bad at once. There are good reasons to be mad about this scenario (corruption) and bad reasons (pearl clutching). Neither takes away from the murdering children, one is much stupider than the other, though.
Just because he is also murdering children doesn't mean he should get away with theft and corruption, too. He should not get away with either thing. To achieve that requires both things being known.

He picked up $7000 on that deal, then. I have a feeling that's /probably/ not related.
And I wouldn't be so sure about that if we didn't just have him publicly talking about invading Iran for oil profit yesterday, and that's a conversation that's taking place in the billions of dollars range not the thousands.
I think even numerically it's barely something to talk about if it's really a $50k affair.
