I’m a man who would have preferred to have been a woman but with no plans to ever transition. Games let me imagine a bit.
An aside from trans memes, but I noticed I play as a woman more in voiced games vs the old silent protagonist games. They usually direct the male voice as flat and gritty and the female voice tends to have more range. True in both fallout 4 and cyberpunk at the very least. Makes the male action hero voice boring. I don't want to spend hours listening to Han Solo being unphased.
What do you do if you can pick voice and body independently?
Would be distracting to me since my acculturation is still highly gendered, so I don't do that. I'd just prefer something with a little more depth than Jon Snow sometimes.
