May be on my end, but I can't see a picture.
Serious.
Buy the damn pill caddy.
I used to work in public health, and I saw too many folks who had to go to the ER because they or their caretaker flubbed the medications.
My father in law is over 80, he had a system. He kept all his prescription medication together, and twice a day went through and read the labels and took them as prescribed. If one ran out, he would put the box aside so he could pick up a new one the next day.
This worked until it didn't. His memory started to go, and the empties were forgotten and not replaced. Which made him tired and forgetful so the problem multiplied. It also took longer to go through the pills, what once took ten minutes would take hours.
As you get old, your memory will fail. If you take more than 6 regular medicines, make life easier for yourself, get your pharmacist to dose your pills, even if you don't have a problem yet.
The worst times were when the caretakers made the mistake.
I remember one in particular. The daughter was a lawyer, obviously intelligent. She'd never heard of a pill caddy.
Wild to me. My grandmother had a pill caddy, and my child brain thought all the elderly did!
The pill caddies suck because if you're not 80 and lead a normal life you might not always be home at the times you need to take your meds, and taking the whole caddy everywhere is shit.
I mentioned in another comment I bought a pack of 100 biodegradable sauce containers that restaurants use for take away.
It's still not perfect. One of the meds I need to take, which is actually fairly critical to me not dying, does not require a prescription. At one point I realised I hadn't taken it for a few months - I'd been getting all my prescriptions filled but that one had just fallen off the radar.
Well I'm not carrying multiple bottles with me all day when I need 2 or 3 of each pill.
Seems like there's a market for small, travel-size bottles (like the little plastic ones you get at the grocery store) that can also hold multiple labels.
bottles are just the wrong container for meds. If they're not coated then when they rattle around they grind each other so they're all dusty with the medication and it tastes awful when you put it in your mouth. If they are coated or a capsule then the extra air contains more moisture so the coating degrades.
SEA still dispenses meds in little paper envelopes but that's not ideal for larger quantities.
Never been a problem for me, though I've also dealt with such pills.
A little piece of paper towel scrunched up in the bottom works as a "spring" to keep them pushed to the top.
So many different use-cases (like this one) that need addressing.
The first things I did when I got my 3d printer was make wee pill carriers.
I have to take several medications in the morning and evening. I bought a pack of 100 biodegradable sauce containers that restaurants use for take away. It cost $5 or something.
