Look at the Cuba trip he did last month. He went to Cuba because he was jealous of the Neustra America Convoy. He brought no aid to Cuba and then he payed random people with paper money to be in his video. He talked shit about the Neustra America Convoy which delivered 20 tons of aid: food, medicine, and solar panels to Cuba. Then he went to Cuba and brought nothing with him except paper money. The Neustra America Convoy met with Cuban Government officials. The Neustra America Convoy had 600 people delivering aid to Cuba. Bad Empanada proudly declared that he went completely alone.
There seems to be like a misconception that in order to be a real leftist, you have to be a social pariah because in western-aligned countries socialism was the big bad. The implication becomes that if someone calls themselves socialist but is popular, liked, attractive, etc; then they must be fake socialist. Bad Empanada uses this as the sole metric for his political ideology. He's not in any organization. He doesn't do any activism. He doesn't participate in labor action. He's not even particularly principled in his beliefs. He often has controversial takes that misalign from any existing socialist political theory. His only political conviction is being a nuisance. Bad Empanada and his fans believe that he's a leftist because he's completely intolerable to be around.

I watched the original clip from FD, he came across like he was half joking and just having fun analyzing a movie more deeply than it needs to be. (I'm not American so i don't know much about hip hop culture aside from the 80's and 90's) But i unsubscribed a couple of years ago because he started repeating that breadtube mantra to his chat of "why are all of you so hung up on Israel and Palestine?"
This tendency of dying on the hill of zionism got so wide spread among the old breadtube guard It makes me wonder if these guys got coopted by some israel propaganda money or something.

I think it's because "feeding the trolls" in the 2000s meant arguing in comment sections or some Facebook page with zero benefit and almost no audience. Now that it's monetized and part of the spectacle, people can keep pulling the slot lever (Post button) hopping their opponent slips up and they can clip/screenshot it and go "See?! I told you he was ______" and try to leverage that into more internet fame.
Even if they don’t slip up, simply going to their page, watching the video, dropping a bunch of comments, all that makes the algorithm go “mmm yes much engagement push this content creator higher in the feed.” It’s why I just avoid reactionary content pages/channels, besides not giving me agita I know me going there and arguing with them just rewards them, regardless of how wrong they are.

I've seen a few YouTube drama things go down where the person making the exposé is like "by the way, I reached out to him and asked him if he could clarify this or help to fix the situation so I don't have to go public with what I've found, he told me to die in a fire and that he intends to eat my legs" so the reasonable approach seems pretty hit or miss

It's a paid streaming service made up of popular YouTubers and they've given some budgets to make exclusive movies and stuff, which seemed cool and okay, it was mostly media analysis people, Lindsay Ellis exclusively posted stuff on there for a while, Patrick H Willems is pretty involved, and I think he's mostly there for the creative freedom angle that getting away from YouTube involves. A lot of the old guard of people lumped in with Breadtube who mostly just talked about movies and stuff are there or post exclusive videos there. They wouldnt let JT (Second Thought) upload an explicitly pro palestine video, I forget the exact details but considering other Nebula People's ham fisted trying to both sides it takes, they didnt want anything that wasnt wishy washy about Israel at best. So yeah, it's kinda where the middle to bottom rung of breadtube have all come together to make a different streaming platform
