If this was true, they wouldn't have admitted it. Truth is that Israel is the American weapon to colonise mid-east. Truth is that Israel wouldn't even exist without fucking uncle sam
That may have been the idea initially, but it does rather seem like the tail is wagging the dog now. While you're right that israel wouldn't survive without uncle sam, whether it's a case of the sunk-cost falacy, or mesanaic religious fanatasism, the israeli government seem to have their hands on enough levers in the american administration that they can make them do whatever they want.
