I know that the "party line" or whatever is that generational conflict is reactionary but at least in the US the legal system and common social and economic practices absolutely lead to the oppression (maybe even exploitation) of the young by older people and fuel hatred for the young by the old.
The older generations deciding that a positive ROI on real estate is a natural right is one such example of that.
It's interesting how the US fucked it up so badly before even running into a particularly challenging age demographic situation.
i'm not gonna look this up but i do know that sometimes our system creates a requirement for somebody to file a lawsuit and that creates fodder for headlines like this one ie "child sues parents" and then you look up the details and they did it cuz it was the only way to get their health insurance to pay out or some shit like that.
My wife and I
my stepdaughter
seems better than saying "her daughter"
Boomers taking their own children's houses lmao, "good thing" my parents are too poor for this shit
Sue for what exactly?
Being millennials.
Sure, but first try your daughter's almonds pie, she baked it specially for you
Current generational conflict in many western countries in a nutshell.
My favorite example is political opposition to solar in because it will reduce the profitablity of coal power plants that are in large parts owned by pension funds.
Financialization is just curse on society.
Yes, by all means, sue your stepdaughter.
