This is what you expect to happen when a criminal element like a billionaire moves into a neighborhood

Took me a second to realise that this wasn't "shots fired" in the colloquial media headline sense.

Sam Altman's house BLASTED by extremists hurling molotov cocktails.

A C T U A L

R E A L

B U L L E T S

Just glad he didn't get SLAMMED

Finally some journalistic integrity.

I get why folks're cheering this but it seems dumb to me. Shooting at houses has all the consequences of a real assassination attempt with none of the possibility of success. Altman's just going to pull a zuck/bezos and buy buffer properties or move to Florida or something.

Nah, these guys have all the money in the world, and they think it should make them untouchable, so things like this not only shake up the intended target, but everybody else in the Epstein Class.

It's wonderful that these guys have to go through life frightened for their lives at every minute, spending millions on security, only to find that some guy with a rifle can put a bullet through your front window where you were standing five minutes before.

We need to make them FEAR us, and this sort of moral terrorism works.

Fear. The byproduct is fear. Any addition is welcome.

Fear can make the crazies do even crazier things

Don't poor shame. We're not to blame, the pedo class've all been insane since birth, and implying that their victims have any added effect to that inherent crazy is just sloppy at best.

I didn't shame or blame anyone. I just stated the simple fact that fear can make crazy people do crazier things. You added those extra layers on top of that. They were produced in your subconscious.

If you want to surround yourselves with yes men who never mention practical realities, then good luck waging a class war in which you're the underdogs. If you want a chance in hell at actually improving conditions and not just accelerating everyone's demise, you might want to think more strategically and not immediately condemn everyone who says "hey maybe there's a better way to go about this."

Battles aren't won on fantasy and idealism. Stop treating realists as your enemy.

To be clear, I'm not condemning the guy from California. If it gets people's attention, puts the billionaire-caste off-balance, and shows working people that they have more power than they've been conditioned to believe, then it could be a net positive. If it results in a tightening of surveillance and even more authoritarian working conditions, more anti-union stigma and anti-proletariat propaganda, then it might cause more harm than good. It's too early to tell and I'm not passing judgement on the guy, because ultimately he did something, and was willing to sacrifice his freedom to send a message.

But pretending that a hundred or a thousand copycat attacks will magically solve all our problems is dangerously delusional. I merely pointed out that they can have unintended consequences, so that people will do their own cost-benefit analysis before acting blindly. Trying to instill fear in the billionaire-caste isn't an end in its own; that accomplishes nothing and can make things worse. Anyone who chooses to use it as a means should have an idea of the specific goal they're trying to achieve and how their actions contribute to that goal, and what else is needed to accomplish it. Otherwise it's idiotic.

Like, imagine you're wearing an exploding collar (as a metaphor for the stranglehold the billionaires have on us and the means to live), and you're 50 feet away from the guy with the remote detonator. You wouldn't start yelling at him and threatening to kill him just to make him afraid. What would that accomplish? Now he's alert to your intentions, and as soon as you start walking towards him he's going to press the button.

It would make more sense to appear unthreatening until you're close enough to the guy with the button, then grab ahold of him and say "Go ahead, press it. You take me out, I'm taking you out with me."

You need a glass of water?

It's consequences: none of these assholes have faced any.

Yes, he'll move, he'll hire security, he'll armor his cars. All these things they should consider while making wildly unpopular decisions about fucking us all.

it's not idea, but it's something in a world of nothing.

About time billionaires started getting fired at instead of schoolchildren.

✨️ Nature is healing ✨️

😌

Fear is a lovely propaganda tool.

First guy burns down warehouse and then throwing motococktail now this! More please, and not just here but every billionaire need to start worrying.

Does anybody want to play "what are the consequences" bingo? My card has

  • Trump signs an executive order that goes against 2A rights
  • The perpetrator is made an example out of
  • A new Flock contract in the city where Altman lives
  • Altman hires 24/7 armed security

Gee, I sure am sad to see an exploitaive billionare get terrorized.

A trebuchet would send a clearer, stronger message.

The someone standing at the end of the street with a toolbox and pile of wood just building a trebuchet... It's so absurd that almost nobody would take it more seriously than just trespassing.

That thumbnail is so perfect
