Something that has taken me far to long to realize is that for me at least, I stink far far far less when wearing natural fabrics.
A polyester t-shirt can have me reek if I sweat the slightest bit in like an hour. But 100% natural fabrics like cotton, wool, or linen are way better for making me not stink.
I've noticed this as well. Even a cotton poly blend will be noticably stickier by the end of the day. In the winter, if I don't do anything too exerting or slop food down the front of it, I can get a couple of days out of a good cotton shirt.
I recently got a job where I have to wear this awful poly button down, and the thing gets so stinky so fast. Just one of the reasons I hate that shirt.
I hate unnatural plastics because when I use them in the dryer i swear they smell like burning plastic.
You probably are, and even worse is drying polyester is a huge source of micro plastic pollution
I mean, it's great that there's deodorant that's safe to use I'm sensitive areas. There are absolutely people who have BO problems regardless of personal hygiene and lifestyle habits.
Full body deodorant? What??? I've never hears of this before. Good christ I hate the ever extending tentacles of consumerism.
This just sounds like bodywash with extra steps
Deodorant? More like odorant. It’s just over applied cologne/etc. by another name.
You still smell bad under that and need to take a shower, drink more water, smoke less, and eat fewer onions.
Fun fact: sweat itself doesn’t stink. Follow-up fun fact: humans make two types of sweat, and only one leads to dank body odor. Eccrine sweat glands are spread out all over your body. Apocrine sweat glands produce “stress sweat” that’s thicker and sticker, typically in moments when you’re anxious or nervous. Apocrine glands are in your armpits and taint. Bacteria love growing in this sticky sweat and are what make that typical “body odor”.

I believe that deodorant also contains stuff that kills the bacteria that cause BO.
Wearing natural fabrics helps a lot too. They can absorb and make moisture unavailable so the bacteria aren't able to produce as much of a scent.
Wool is fantastic at this, but other fabrics can too like cotton and linen. Polyester in the other hand does not absorb water at all, it just sits in the surface of the fabric letting the bacteria have their feast and producing smells.
eat fewer onions
For the love of the onion, please stay hydrated.
Also fun fact: Some populations like Korea have a ‘broken’ gene that makes it so they don’t secrete sweat from the Apocrine gland. Lucky ducks.
My wife has that gene and I have the exact opposite. She can go for a week long backpacking trip and smell like nothing while my body will defeat any deodorant in under 6 hours just sitting in the office.
I have a friend like that. Sweats at the gym at lunch, towels off, goes to work, no problem.
That explains why my pits get so fucking sweaty when I'm playing a high stress game like trying to get P-rank in Ultrakill. Reading more into that source also explains why I sometimes am dripping sweat from my face when I'm really really focused on something.
Oh, I thought you meant... nevermind.
Isn't deodorant an anti-bacterial?
maxxing
Because we can't deduce how to spell from similar words like 'faxing', 'taxing', or 'relaxing'.
https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/maxxing
To be fair, the lack of a long vowel sound would indicate they require a double consonant, if we strove for consistency (albeit, not English's strongsuit…).
If you stink, shower more often. It works.
Showering too often can also cause issues with smell.
How often do you consider too often?
I'll risk the average person showers once day.
Anything more than twice a day, but for me twice a day dries out my skin enough that it overproduces oil which makes me smell funky sooner.
I take a shower twice a day more often than I would like. Sometimes, even three or four times.
The type of soap used also plays a part, along with water temperature and duration.
Four five minutes showers, just to spray the body with water and wash with a mild soap, good.
Four fifteen minutes showers, with at nearly boiling point water, with hard soap, peels anything from your skin. Including your skin.
