Reminds me of when I posted a pic of my husky that was in night shot mode and a ton of replies were like "why are her pupils so dialated," because the room was way darker IRL than what the photo looked like.
I would've said "Her pupils are so dilated because she parties way harder than you losers ever will"

Yeah often my phone will go into night mode on its own now (I'm sure didn't used to do that) and make genuine dark scenes look really mangledly gloomy.

Having seen people in murder mode, people do the same thing. It's really unsettling to see.
The more a cat wants to kill something, the cuter it is.
Unless it's another cat, or something they're afraid of but can't run away from.
Then it's all spiky hair, and nails, and teeth, and swung back ears, and arched back, and hissing or, even worse, yowling like a banshee.
