Ah yes, the trolley problem.
I finished college at 25. Found a job only loosely related to my schooling. Stayed in that job because it was at least reliable during covid.
It's been 7 years and now I can tell I'm burning out. The job hasn't kept up with inflation and it's now causing me much more stress.
I am not opposed to school, but damn i'm scared of the wasted time and money that might amount to nothing again. I just want something low stress that will allow me to survive and save some extra money for emergencies and maybe a vacation every year (heck even every few years!).
I don't feel like that's asking for much. My whole body aches today from being stressed. Sorry for the complaining. Lately I've been thinking about how the French Revolution was started over less BS than what we all deal with now lol
I feel you, in a similar position but at least I've got a prestigious sounding job title 🥲
The degree? Masters in Applied Trolley Handling.
Is the shift from Monday night (nobody cares) to Friday night (people hang out) a subtle hint at a downgrade?
For a second there I thought that said "I left work hard" and, because of his arousal, went and got a degree in it. 🤣
Is that in an elevator?
That must be a pain to collect carts if you need to use an elevator.
No, a lift.
An upsy-downsy
That's a lift and trollies around these parts, pal!
How many trollies fit on a lorry?
Yeah, I did my time as a trolley boy in my teenage years and that sounds miserable. I assume it's one of those ones where there's a car park below and the whole shop is built above that
I'm surprised they don't have the flat escalators - they'd be much better overall than using lifts.
I can imagine that there's maybe a policy against taking an entire stack of trolleys up them because if a whole stack of them does start to roll down the walkway for some reason, there's not a chance in hell one person is stopping it
I've never seen that before! But this is what I was meaning:
The wheels lock in, they can't roll down the slope. We have them at a local supermarket near me, they can be full and you don't need to hold the trolley at all.
The trolleys have a wheel that magnetises to the escalator.
