The state of the US of A
I mean in the UK at least I don't think we'll ever see a prosecution of Andrew and Mandelson, their 'repercussions' are losing jobs and titles but still getting to live lives of luxury in the 1%
United SA
The results of decades of US journalists caring more about access than reporting.
I'm reminded of a journalist on the daily show telling Jon Stewart that they reported Iraq had WMDs because that's what the CIA said and if they wanted to continue getting info from the CIA, they'd have to repeat it even when they didn't know whether it was true or fake
Which like....makes their 'reporting' no different than just using their imagination
PR laundering. It’s just a way for the CIA to make their propaganda look like investigative reporting.
If we don’t publish CIA propaganda, then they’ll stop giving us their propaganda to publish!
Journalism can't make consequences, it is only at best part of the road to them.
well access gets you continued work, reporting gets you fired
Starlet’s in hot water for choosing a known friend of Epstein, and by extension Trump, as US ambassador. It’s a dirty logic but there’s some sense to it.
Not a fan of the man but it’d be kinda fucked if he went over this, especially considering who we’ve got on the horizon.
Just send the cops to raid and prosecute Mandelson, it's not that hard
Not everyone. Indian billionaires are doing alright
